Isaac's Food Blog - A review of Chicago Williams BBQ

If you find yourself looking for American BBQ in Berlin, Chicago Williams is the perfect place. I highly recommend you come here with a reasonably sized group, as the portions are quite generous. On arriving at Chicago Williams, you are greeted with a complementary "corn soup" which tastes both spicy and creamy. The restaurant is almost always filled with laughter upon entering. While the place can be quite full at times, there are almost always some seats available, even for a big group. The staff who work there are extremely friendly and have even gifted my friends and I free dessert on occasion. At least one person in the group always gets the mac & cheese, while I will admit it's not the best mac & cheese I've had it's definitely worthy of some praise. Their menu features a fried chicken brioche sandwich topped with a wide flat disc of cheese. Be warned! The size of this piece of chicken is enormous, you can definitely count this dish as a meal on it's own. On Fridays you can find my personal favorite dish which is an authentic New York style pastrami sandwich. The pastrami is tender, juicy, and easily melts in your mouth. This sandiwch arguably earns Chicago Williams the title "Home of Berlins' best Pastrami Sandwich". This prestigious title, that I just made up on the spot, will hopefully convince you to come to Chicago Williams on a Friday at some point.
